My wife, Erica, and I reside in Raytown and hold a deep affection for our close-knit community. Active members of Raytown Baptist Church, we both contribute locally—Erica manages a dry cleaning company in Lake Oconee, while I proudly serve as a Deputy Sheriff in Wilkes County. Additionally, I am a dedicated Taliaferro County volunteer firefighter, and together, we own and operate a small lawn care company.
Since settling in Taliaferro County in 2019, my roots in this region extend far into the past. The Pierce, Stevens, and Moore families, my own kin, have been integral to this area for centuries. Born at Wills Memorial in 1977, I spent a significant portion of my life immersed in the community, sharing memorable moments at my great-grandparents' place on Hillman Road. My Great-Granddaddy, James “Butch” Pierce, a familiar face from his extensive work in the elections office, resided on Sandy Cross Road and attended Sandy Cross Baptist Church with my Great-Grandmother, Mrs. Evelyn (Moore) Pierce. Erica and I, parents to six grown children and grandparents to two, cherish our family bonds in nearby counties.
